My fingerprints are everywhere, already dropped it once, am truly satisfied as my previous Iphone 5S had the battery life of a dead possum. Any advice on cases? (I like wood, good leather and subtlety)

Ok then the BMW would be the car version of the iPhone. Both are expensive and not all that special. You can find hundreds of thousands of both and 9 times out of 10 said owner thinks they’re better than you.

The “Tesla of phones” is probably a Vertu. Or maybe a Jolla Sailfish. iphonies are the rough equivalent of a base Chevy cobalt: not great at anything, made super-cheaply, designed to last just as long as the warranty, and undesirable if one takes even the slightest look at, well, anything else.

“Best-looking interface”

Microsoft, android, Jolla, and even Blackberry have better interfaces. Iphonies look childish and ancient in comparison, despite borrowing Microsoft's flat design language from Windows/Windows Phone (which Android has done now, too).

Nah, everything else looks tacky and the interface looks cheap. Iphone does it best, it might not be the best, but it looks and feels better. Vertu is like the Bentley/Rolls of phones, and I don’t know what that weird Sailfish thing is.

My wife has the 5 (not S) and I must say her battery life is incredible compared to my S6.

Anyway she bough a 7 dollar snapping-two-piece plastic case from a mall kiosk and that phone has been dropped and banged around for 2 years and it’s still perfect. You don’t need an industrial military case for those phones. Decent plastic does the job.

Seems like a great share of people buying phones like childish and ancient, I won’t argue with you about how other phones have better internal bits, and newer this, and last a lot longer. I know they do, but I don’t give a fuck, the Iphone looks better and feels nice to use.

The ip6/6+ look like a wannabe Nokia Lumia 925, which is two years old, but manage to feel cold and dead, which matches the all-metal-and-glass apple shtick. Nothing engaging or pleasant about the experience, just machined unpleasantness and indifference to the user.

I also recommend: buy a sticky screen protector separately. She updated with a 2 piece case once with the plastic screen cover on the front half, and it was just trash. We scrapped it. Screen wouldn’t respond half the time. An adhesive aftermarket screen protector is dirt cheap and works.

That’s what I need, it’s a fucking phone, I need to be the least present thing possible, I need it blend with my environment, I don’t need tacky colors or funny sounds and colorful screens, I need a slab of cold metal, because cold metal is understated and classy.

If your phone was so well-designed, it wouldn’t 1: need a case (there are so few naked iphonie in the wild), 2: look like an older phone from a different manufacturer, and 3: be so prone to damage and failures.

Anyhow, you have an unsatisfactory phone, good luck finding something to make it more satisfactory.

You want an armored case. I used to be able to throw my iPhone 5 across a tile floor. My iPhone 6? Not so much. I started out with the original iPhone and have dropped every iPhone I have ever had on a regular basis. I also have never broken an iPhone screen until I got my iPhone 6. Get an Otterbox or LifeProof case. You'll thank me one day
